In 2010 advertisers spent 119 million euros on affiliate marketing. Revenue related to affiliate marketing was estimated at 1.3 billion euros, but it appears to be (a maximum) of € 1.5 billion. The affiliate market has grown strongly in recent years and professionalized. The expectation is that the explosive growth will level off. Focus on performance-based marketing, especially direct sales opportunities, including marketing will continue to grow.

Linking mobile internet with affiliate and email marketing has started and will take a huge leap coming years. The penetration of mobile internet is 5x faster than desktop internet. Scoot Media is on top and for instance, recently conducted successful tests of mobile landing pages.

Transnational campaigns are becoming increasingly common. Scoot Media is part of De Telefoongids Holding and European Directories with operations in Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Gibraltar, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. We are continuously looking for suitable foreign partners to expand our network and knowledge. Quality is key.

Regulation for using personal data by third parties becomes more and more stringent. Opening up new channels for sales and lead generation is becoming increasingly relevant to advertisers. Scoot Media is working closely with Singewald Consultants Group, enabling us to work according to the latest legislation.

Due to the low-profile policy Scoot Media has a relatively low name recognition. Nevertheless, we have a top 3 position in the market for performance-based online marketing to reach. Our goal is to maintain this position and to strengthen in 2013. We do this by actively the dialogue with our audiences and a wide range of products and services stand ready to have.
